Our vision is only limited by our imagination, but in the acid infused kaleidoscope of life, our fixation on a single hue causes the rest to fade to gray. Altering the spectrum through which we perceive reality can greatly affect our world view and the power to do so lies within us. Belief is the limiting factor. Ultimately we are hindered by what we believe is possible, in our life and by our hands. In the end, our potential is exactly what we believe it to be."
Purgatory on Earth, the Sands Study documents the elegant beauty of the hellish dune landscape. The lore of purgatory is one of intense suffering, a place designed to punish the souls vanquished to it in order to purify them for eternal peace. The Sands Study is my attempt to capture the peace within the brutal landscape of the sand dunes. You can read the entire series statement and browse the rest of the collection here.
