"Like the sun turning in for the night, the placid waters came to rest at dusk. Silence emanated from the esteemed pines in the distance as night nestled to peer into its mirrored abyss. The slumbering body’s slow undulations stirred the sky’s reflected gaze into its serene depths. As the solution thickened, its subtle ripples bled the painted horizon into the glazed surface, the fluid forms dancing to the call of the nocturnal world. The sensual motions mesmerized the onlooking moon. Lulled by the calming concoction it laid its head amongst the pines as the landscape melded into darkness."
Every photograph in my landscape gallery is named after a song. I use music to help tell my story with the photo and the title "Days Like This" was carefully selected for that purpose. The Van Morrison track was the perfect song for this piece and if you'd like to sway at the end of the dock with me and watch the dusk fade from the sky I've included the song for you to play above.
